Location: Southend-on-Sea City Council (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £46,142 – £52,413 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent

 

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Southend-on-Sea City Council to recruit an Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering service.

 

This is a senior practitioner post for someone who knows fostering inside out and wants the scope to shape how it is done, holding the most complex assessments while developing the practice of the supervising social workers around them.

 

The Role

As an Advanced Practitioner within the Fostering service, you will:

Hold and progress the service's most complex fostering assessments and supervisory work.

Provide practice guidance, coaching and reflective support to supervising social workers.

Quality assure Form F assessments, annual reviews and the reports prepared for panel.

Contribute to recruitment, retention and support strategies for the city's foster carers.

Represent the service at panel, in court and with partner agencies.

Deputise for the team manager where required.

 

About You

You will be an experienced practitioner with:

A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.

Substantial post-qualifying experience in fostering, kinship or permanence work.

A track record of completing and quality assuring complex assessments.

Experience of supporting, coaching or supervising colleagues.

Strong analytical, decision-making and panel skills.
